Summer Program
The Upward Bound academic residential summer program is an intensive six week endeavor which gives all Upward Bound students an academic edge over their peers when they return to school in September. All students will take four academic classes which include a Humanities/English class, a math class, an academic elective, and a skill building class (Speech and Debate, Info/Media Literature, and Senior Seminar). In addition, all students attend study hall daily which is staffed by Upward Bound teachers and tutors. While the program is focused on academics, Upward Bound encourages fun. Students engage in sports, workshops and fieldtrips regularly. All students have an opportunity to live in an actual college residence hall with a roommate and gain a college experience first hand.
